No longer a nourrisson

She doesn't look like a new-born anymore, and sure doesn't move like one either. At our 5-month doctor's visit yesterday Mia was weighed at 6K6 and measures 65cm. She's basically doubled in size! And Mme Fourcade gave us the green light for a puree and compote de pomme at lunch instead of a bottle. We'll test her first vegetable this weekend with Thomas.

I've been trying for days to remember my login and my password to no avail and finally I did something right and can post again.

At any rate, it's good to be home although vacation was wonderful. We have a true world-traveller in the making as she charms the locals and adapts easily to their customs. But, alas, vacation is over and it's la rentree. Thomas has gone back to work and it's so sweet to see Mia reach for him when he comes home in the evening. Mia and I spend our days playing, wandering around town with friends, and, to be honest, doing laundry. (Three weeks of vacation and endless houseguests have changed my opinion on having a dryer.)

Full house

We got back from a lovely week at the beach on Sunday and have been spending this week with our Italian-American friends Matteo and Ursula and their twins. Someone's always eating, napping or having their diaper changed... And I have to say, these Italian boys move fast! Only nine months old and they're already giving Mia kisses. Pictures to follow.
