After dropping Mia off at school I had an image of La France, la vraie. I found myself riding my bike behind an older man on a bicycle in a black beret with a baguette under his arm. It was almost like being in my own Parisian film!

After spending the holiday weekend with her cousins, Mia has suddenly become very interested in things that "big girls" do - like using the potty!

In France it is now illegal to smoke in bars restaurants, casinos and clubs. We've finally joined the intelligent group of our European neighbors who have already globally banned smoking - Sweden, Lithuania, Romania, Ireland, Italy, Spain and the UK. It was so nice to be able to walk through the downtown indoor shopping center and not breath in clouds of cigarette smoke!
